What are some good books that you've read recently... EXCEPT Twilight and or New Moon?

I just finished The Tower of Ravens by Kate Forsyth and it was pretty good. It was much better than I thogh it would be!

Tamora Pierce's Tortall series! It is amazing! And Stephen Cole's The Wereling series. They're both very good... very different... but very good.

Have you read the Tortall series? If you haven't you should! They are what got me into reading... which lead to Twilight! So they will always have a special place with me... So anyone who hasn't read them READ THEM! They're amazing!

If you like fantasy you should read Cast In Shadow and Cast In Courtlight. They were two very good books.

I would have to say the book All Families are Psychotic is a definite must read, it's by Douglas Coupland. Also, anything by Yann Martel or Irvine Welsh is worth it, too.

I just finished readining Moon Called and Blood Bound. I though they had a unique take on the supernatural. The focus of the books is more werewolves than vampires. They also introduce another type of mythical creature called the fae. I wasnt sure if I would like them because it was werewolves and i was never in to werewolves like I am vampire but they were really very good.

Has anybody read A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray? If you have'nt, then go buy and read it like, NOW! lol. That book, as well as it's sequel Rebel Angels, is in-credible. Seriously, I kid you not, those two books are my second favorite series i've ever read. (Twilight and New Moon is my number one favorite series oh-bviously, and they always will be!)

ooo, If anyone is searching for some more books to read while we are waiting impatiently for Eclipse to come out (AUGUST!!!!....so far away Crying or Very sad ) here's two links to some Amazon lists that I've made. So if you want to, check them out!

A list of books that are totally great and are already out! And......
