Fashion School
Yup, I am.
Lession today: Louis Vuitton
A girl would call her purse a "louie" because it's a Louise Vuitton purse. To shorten it she says "louie". It's a nickname, and it shows attachment to the purse.
For example: I have a Louis Vuitton purse that's really small so i call it a "baby loo". I know it's weird but......you know, it's fashion.
Now you guys can talk about our lesson.
Also, if you want me to cover something then pm me.
NinnyNat wrote:All the name brands are like Greek to me. My friends are so into purses i know what prada is but i fail to understand why someone would call their bag a "louie". OH well.

Yes, but the thing is I don't know what a school girl name is. Also, I'm working on the uniform.

Ooh, I love fashion! I prefer men's fashion to women's fashion (because I love the people who wear men's fashion) but I like to say I have quite and extensive knowledge of fashion. I want to enroll, is what I'm saying.
My favourite designer is Burberry; how can you tell it's Burberry? The signature plaid. I'm hoping to get a Burberry trench, sometime soon. My favourite stores are Holt Renfrew (Canada's answer to Barney's), Prada, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Chanel, Louis Vouitton, Burberry, Zara, TNT and a bunch of little vintage shops.
I also love DSquared, Vivianne Westwood, Versace and many, many more.
Am I allowed to be in this school is I already have fashion knowledge? Can I be a teacher?!

The next lessons are going to be about brand names. But at the end of every lesson there is going to be a tip about dressing for your body type.
Lesson today: Louis Vuitton
Since we we're talking about this brand earlier I'll just pick up from there.
Name: Louis Vuitton
From: France
Product: They specialize in luxury gifts, French fashion, handbags and accessories, leather goods.
Belts, ties, scarves
sunglasses
jewelry
watches
shoes
pureses
briefcases
luggage
wallets
agendas
How to tell: The Louis Vuitton trademark is easy to spot.
You're assingment is to give me a picture of a Louis Vuitton poduct. Shouldn't be hard with google and such. Good Luck!
And now for tips on how to dress for your body type courtesy of Mew.
If You Are Larger:
- Straight leg pants or boot cut jeans help take away from the hips, instead of accentuate them.
- Stay away from skinny jeans or tapered jeans, as those only add to the width of the hips.
- Empire waist blouses help hide any extra 'meat' around the torso.
- Ballet flats make feet look smaller, so they occassionally make legs look larger.
- Stay away from thin horizontal stripes, as they make you look wider; opt for verticle, instead.
That's all I have for now. It's dicussion time!!!!!!

Re: Fashion School
^^Very cute purse.
But my fashion school sucks. So I think what I'am gonna do is have people just ask questions when they need to. And we can just talk about fashion. Like today, I found a video of part of Vera Wang's Bridal Collection Spring 08.
http://video.msn.com/v/us/v.htm?g=E0FA4AD6-429E-4294-9855-81C53E60D3D0,948E9299-9CF5-4846-AE69-271F7278C2C9&t=c483&f=06/64&p=Source_The%20Knot&fg=>1=10056
The dresses were cute but not really my style.
And did you notice how the models didn't walk right? Or maybe that's just me. I don't know if they have a different walk for Wedding dresses but that is not how you walk a run way.
If you look closely, did you see how the models would bump into each other? I did not like that one bit. Either that fashion show was not planned good or the space was too little. And if you want to rant more about the show then you can. I love talking about fashion.
